Types of Portraits

People

The portrait fee is based on the pose. There is an extra charge for additional persons or pets, detailed backgrounds, or objects that require special attention to detail (such as ornate costumes or jewelry).

There are three basic poses:

Full Length

One-half to
three-quarter
(includes the hands)

Bust
(head and shoulders)

Pets

There are two basic poses: close-ups which usually focus on expression and character, and full-lengths which often include a setting (pillow, rug, chair, etc.) or a favorite toy.

This could be anything that does not fall into one of the categories above. It could be a still-life of your mother's favorite tea cup and lace doily, your classic car, or even your vintage farm tractor. I'm usually game to take on just about anything . . . so long as the photograph is good. Since the subject dictates the time required to create a pleasing likeness, this category will be quoted on an individual basis. Please e-mail or snail-mail your photo for a quote.
