^**Fees are approximate only. Special objects and requests, as well as detailed backgrounds, costumes, or jewelry may increase the price of the portrait. Other expenses such as travel and shipping are extra.

Payment Schedule

A non-refundable deposit of one-fourth of the total portrait fee is required when the commission contract is signed;
The next one-fourth is payable upon approval of the preliminary drawing; and
The remaining balance (one-half) is due when the portrait is complete. A photo of the finished portrait will be submitted for final approval, along with a final bill that includes shipping or delivery costs. The painting will be shipped or delivered upon receipt of final payment, or can be shipped C.O.D. to avoid this delay.
A ten-day final approval period begins upon actual delivery date of the finished painting. No refunds will be given after that time.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

My goal is to create a portrait that makes you cry, makes you smile, or simply makes you stare at it when you walk by. The payment steps outlined above are designed to keep both Artist and Client happy as the portrait progresses. If you are dissatisfied—for any reason—along the way, I will gladly refund your money, minus the initial one-fourth deposit and any actual costs incurred (travel, shipping, etc.). No money will be refunded, however, after the ten-day approval period expires. Any refund due Client for a painting damaged or lost in transit will be made by the shipping company directly to Client (see Shipping below.)

Matting & Framing

All finished portraits are matted with a presentation quality white or ivory mat. Framing, double and special matting is available for an additional charge.

Shipping

The finished portrait will be shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, insured, unless other arrangements are requested by Client. Actual shipping costs will be due upon presentment of final bill. Although every effort will be made to assure that your portrait arrives intact and in perfect condition, accidents do happen. Artist therefore incurs no liability for paintings lost or damaged in shipment, and makes no guarantee to create a new painting should this event occur. Any refund due Client for a painting damaged or lost in transit will be made, according to common practice, by the shipping company directly to Client upon the filing and collection of a claim.

Property of Artist

Sketches, photos and other materials produced by the Artist in the course of creating the portrait shall remain the property of the Artist. Any original photographs or other objects provided by Client, shall be returned with the finished portrait.
