Although I've been dabbling in watercolors for many years, only recently
did I begin to specialize in portraiture. Painting florals and landscapes
is a kick, but how much more exciting it is to create a portrait
that captures the warm charm and personality of a real person!

I paint mostly
in transparent watercolors, striving for vibrant color and luminosity.
Usually I paint on Arches 300# white paper, but have found colored papers
to be a useful tool in setting mood and atmosphere. I've experimented
with ink and gouache (opaque watercolor) as well, and have found them
especially helpful in jazzing up an otherwise dark or gloomy scene. In
other words I have no pat formula and will do whatever it takes to produce
a pleasing portrait.
I also create graphite artwork depicting Lineman at work. As the wife of a Lineman, I appreciate the great skill and dedication that goes into this dangerous yet vital job. You can view the Lineman Prints I have available at the Lineman Art portion of this website.
So please visit my galleries and determine if you
like what you see. Whether it be a watercolor for your home or a Lineman Art Print for the favorite Lineman in your life, I'm sure you'll find something that will bring you pleasure for many years to come..
